 Sri Yoga Hayavadhanar | There is a temple for Sri Yoga Hayavadhanar - Sri Vedanthadesikar at Perumpakkam Village of Villupuram Taluk,Tamil Nadu. This kshetram is called Dakshina Ahobilam. The 36th Pontiff (Jeeyar Swamy) of Shri Ahobila Mutt Sri Srinivasa Yateendra Maha Desikan camped at that village for nearly one year. The Pattabishekam of the 37th Pontiff of the said ancient mutt Sri Veeraraghava Satagopa Yateendra Mahadesikan took place in that Village. It was under the auspices of the 40th Pontiff ( Sri Ranganatha Satagopa Yatheendra Mahadesikan ) that the abovesaid temple was constructed in 1918. The 42nd Jeeyar Swamy of Sri Ahobila Mutt popularly known as Injimettu Azhagia Singar Srimad Ranga Satagopa Yatheendra Mahadesikan camped at Perumpakkam for one Chatur Masya Sankalpam. Thus the said village and the temple are associated with the four illustrious jeeyars of our ancient Sri ahobila Mutt rious Jeeyars of our ancient Sri Ahobila Mutt. |
